Hongos Cordyceps are the new species of fungus, which are majorly found in South America, China, etc. Hongos Cordyceps is a type of medicinal mushroom, they are believed to have many therapeutic benefits to support good and healthy life.

Summary of the Fungus

New discovery of Cordyceps fungus discovered in South America in the high mountains of Peru.

The characteristics of the fungus are like golden caterpillar with branched stroma and its track size is about 3 to 6 cm, with the track size of about 2 to 4 cm. it weights is about 0.5 to 2 gm/ fungus. It has a sweet taste with the fungi cordyceps odour.

As per the DNA analysis performed at the cordyceps museum in China, Ophycordyceps incensis is the closest relative of the Ophicordyceps sinensis of Tibet, this finding is unprecedented due to the great distance between the species mentioned.
